WHO ARE WE?

RMIT Business Analytics Champion (RBAC) is a distinguished national student competition that was first established in 2020. This competition provides a dynamic and enriching platform for passionate undergraduate students to deepen their knowledge and gain practical experience in the field of Business Analytics. Additionally, RBAC facilitates valuable connections between prestigious sponsors and their prospective customers, interns, and various other stakeholders.

Open Ceremony

Preliminary Round (Online Test)

Time: 3 November 2024

Description:
  • Participants access to the exam platform at the informed timestamp.
  • Each team (4 members) will have 90 minutes to answer 30 questions and a mini case study regarding numerical, logical, etc., from our academic sponsor's industry to analyze, visualize and give business insights.

From Data to Insight (Online)

Description:
  • Top 30 teams will receive a Case Study package.
  • Each team will make a 15-slide storyboard to analyze, visualize and give business insights then submit the slide along with the analysis.

Training Workshop (Online)

Platform: Microsoft Teams
Agenda:
  • Provide information about our strategic sponsor’s industry so that participants can have better insights to improve their analysis and recommendations.
  • Opportunity to learn more insights about Business Analytics career.
21 NOV 27 NOV

Final Round

From: 12:00 AM, 21 November 2024

To: 11:59 PM, 27 November 2024

Description:
  • The top 5 teams will come to the final round with an advanced case study package based on Round 2.
  • Each team will utilize the given dataset to make a storyboard to analyze, visualize, and give business insights from the provided data and submit the slide along with the analysis.

Mentoring Session

From:  23 November 2024 To: 26 November 2024
Description:
  • Top 5 contestants have the chance to meet mentors and receive feedbacks on their previous works, as well as instructions for improvement in the 3rd round.
29 NOV

Grand Finale & Closing Ceremony

Time: 01:00 PM - 05:00 PM, 29 November 2024

Venue: Auditorium, RMIT University Vietnam Saigon South Campus

Eligibility
  • All nationalities are accepted
  • Participants must be undergraduate students and currently studying in universities in Vietnam (Students enrolling in universities outside Vietnam are not eligible)
  • Top 5 finalists of RBAC previous seasons, Ambassadors, and Organizers are not allowed to participate in the competition
Registration
  • A team must consist of 4 members.
  • Each contestant can only join one team, and teams may consist of students from different universities.
  • If any team wants to change its member(s), the team leader must inform the organizers before the registration form closes. If the request is sent after the form deadline, that team must continue with at least 3 members.
  • Participants can use National ID/Passport, Student Card or Statement of Enrolment for identification.
Notes
  • Teams must strictly comply with the regulations and deadlines set by the Organizers for submissions of each round.
  • All sessions (including rounds, workshops, and pitching round) are held in English. All team submissions must be in English
  • RBAC organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team if that team shows signs of violation or does not comply with the above rules (Organizers will contact the team at least 12 hours before making the final decision on a disqualification).
